Jessie picked up the guitar and started writing at the age of 15. Her love for music was inspired by her dad’s guitar playing and influenced by the styles of Shania Twain, Patsy Cline and P!NK.
A Kingston native, Jessie moved to Kitchener in 2012 to pursue her passion for music. Working alongside award-winning Canadian producer J. Richard Hutt at Cedartree Recording Tree, Jessie T released her debut FACTOR funded album Reckless Heart in 2016. Four singles were released to country radio from this project: First Love Kinda Feelin’, Summertime Song, Hellbound and Meet My Crazy. To support the singles, Jessie went on a four-leg radio tour across Ontario. The tour contributed to the success of her third single, Hellbound, which reached the BDS charts.
Playing over 200 shows per year, Jessie has been expanding her fan base performing at a wide variety of venues across Canada. Booking solo, duo, trio and full band shows, Jessie’s making her own footprint in the country music market. Jessie has performed alongside such talent as Dallas Smith, Beverley Mahood, Jamie Warren, Dierks Bentley, Dustin Lynch and Steve Wilkinson (The Wilkinsons).
Jessie has been rewarded with placing 1st in the KICX 106 Songwriting Competition (2012), a first-round nomination for CMAO Rising Star (2016), a top 10 regional standing in the CBC Searchlight Competition (2016) and has performed at the CCMA Diamond’s in the Rough Showcase (2016, 2018).
In addition to performing, Jessie has sat alongside Canadian Music Week CEO Danya Dixon, former manager of Taylor Swift Rick Barker and other music industry professionals as a judge for The Shot.
